Spalding House Family Day

Every third Sunday of the month from 11am to 4pm (activities end at 3pm).

In conjunction with Bank of Hawaii Family Sunday, the museum also holds a free Family Day at its location in Makiki Heights, with entertainment and an art activity. A free shuttle bus runs between the Honolulu Museum of Art and Spalding House, so you can enjoy both events in one day.

Limited parking is available. Street parking is not permitted.

February 19:

Connect the nets: Kids will weave string to create designs similar to those seen in Artist of Hawai‘i Kaili Chun's fishing net installation.

Looking ahead:

March 19: Celebrate Easter Sunday at Spalding House! Three words: Easter egg hunt.

April 16: Nancy Kulp will read a version of Fiddler on the Roof and share songs inspired by the Jewish culture.

May 21: Share the road! The day’s art activity will have kids making prints inspired by bicycles.
